Thanksgiving Community Service and Dinner
This now famous event has grown steadily the past few years. This dinner serves all those looking for hospitality and fellowship. Those who wish to help make this holiday special for the community may contribute food, prepare dishes, and serve dinner. The free will offerings from this dinner help support the scholarships given at the University of Delaware Honors Day Program held in May at the University.
TIME COMMITMENT: 1-4 hours

Neighborhood House
Each week in worship, congregants are invited to take a slip of paper with a canned food item written on it. These items are collected each week and given to Neighborhood House which provides a food pantry for local residence in need. Individuals can assist by transporting canned items each Monday to Neighborhood House.
TIME COMMITMENT: 1 Monday per month (1 hour)

Angel Tree
The Angel Tree is a prison ministry for children whose parent or parents are incarcerated. Gifts are collected to be distributed to these children in the names of their parents. Individuals can help by distributing the wish lists of children, collecting gifts from donors, and delivering gifts to the Angel Tree coordinator.

Community Christmas Baskets
St. Anne’s joins with Bethesda United Methodist Church and other local churches to prepare Christmas food baskets for needy families in the community. Individuals can act as coordinator to work with Bethesda, communicate to St. Anne’s what is needed, and to arrange for the delivery of collected food and items to Bethesda.

Episcopal Relief and Development Fund
Formerly known as The Presiding Bishop’s Fund for World Relief, the Episcopal Relief and Development Fund is an outreach arm of the National Episcopal Church. “A Ministry of the whole church for the whole world.” This Fund is used throughout this country and throughout the world for emergency relief to the poorest and most affected persons as well as to invest in microeconomic development. A coordinator(s) is/are needed to keep our parish informed, request participation in fundraising efforts, and to educate the parish about the work of the fund.

Big Ball Marathon
This community event occurs over the Labor Day weekend. It is a marathon weekend of softball with a rather strange ball. (It’s big!) Money is collected by participating teams, then pooled and disbursed to aid community assistance programs. St. Anne’s fields at least one team. Episcopal Church Women of St. Anne’s
All the women of St. Anne's are members of this service organization and are invited to participate in the variety of activities sponsored by our local ECW, including the Spring Fling, Lenten Noonday Lunches, Annual Card Party and Luncheon, as well as retreats and quiet days.
