Stewardship

Christian stewardship has been defined as "all that I do, with all that I have, all of the time, after I've said 'I believe.'"

Celebration Sunday Ministry

Giving back generously to a generously loving God for the sake of our own spiritual growth and development: this belief is at the center of our Celebration Sunday Ministry! Each Fall, we embark on a journey to challenge one another to put forth our time, talent, and treasure for the sake of our spiritual lives and in support of our mission and ministry at St. Anne’s. The Celebration Sunday Ministry Team provides organizational leadership for this fall effort. The work of this effort includes coordinating mailings, creating excitement and awareness of the upcoming event of Celebration Sunday, presenting brief spiritual messages during worship as well as concrete information regarding giving patterns. Organizing and executing the Celebration Sunday worship and luncheon (typically held in November) and receiving and thanking all persons who participate by filling out an estimate of giving card marking their financial commitment to the work of St. Anne’s.
TIME COMMITMENT: 4 2-hour organizational meetings in the fall, preparation for the event, 1 2-hour meeting following the event

Care of Property

St. Anne’s is blessed with two properties. Old Saint Anne’s and its cemetery and grounds and what we call “the town church” on East Green Street. Indeed we are called to be good stewards of what we’ve been blessed with. If you have experience with “fixing things” or with helping to make decisions for upkeep and improvements to our properties, this is a ministry for you. Whether you can offer your skills to fix or improve, or if you’d like to serve on the Property Committee which makes recommendations to the vestry for upkeep projects, this is a place for you. Included in this ministry is care for grounds, some light gardening, weed pulling, etc. Things to help our property look good, cared for, and kept up! Only the best for God!
TIME COMMITMENT: Property Committee, monthly meetings. Fix up, projects as taken on.

Finance

The responsible and faithful use of our funds is an essential part of our mission and ministry at St. Anne’s. The finance ministry is a ministry of the vestry whose responsibility it is to plan for, budget, and be creative with the financial resources available to the parish through pledged and invested income. This committee relies on people with gifts and talents in understanding finances as they empower mission and ministry! This committee is mostly active around budget time.
TIME COMMITMENT: 3 2-hour meetings around budget time (December), occasional meetings throughout year as needed

Planned Giving

Do you have experience with financial planning? With helping others with the “how to” of leaving financial gifts to ensure the future of institutions ability to carry out its mission? This ministry is to help raise awareness through brochures, newsletter articles, web site, and other media to ensure good stewards for generations to come!
